I'm Travis Stoner — a technology executive in Texas, a husband and dad, and the guy who rebuilt a junkyard 6.0 into a 408 stroker in his garage. This is the home base for my family and the projects I work on when the laptop is closed.

By day I'm a Senior Director of Information Technology, leading enterprise and mortgage technology for a 1,400-employee independent mortgage bank. I also run Stoner Capital LLC, my Texas holding company, where I've built a few things that started as problems I ran into myself.
I grew up turning wrenches and I never stopped. Most weekends you'll find me in the garage with a project pulled apart, a service manual open on the bench, and a notebook full of torque specs. Right now there are three projects on the floor: a 408 stroker being built for the truck, a 1995 Chevy C1500 getting the full OBS treatment, and a 1971 Nova whose LQ9 is already running on the stand.
At home, the priorities are simpler: be a good husband to Emily, raise our son Beaumont to be steady and curious, and keep this site as the one place everyone can find what they're looking for.

The wreck.
In 2022, on my way to a meeting that would have solidified my career, a motorcycle accident cost me my left leg below the knee. The plan I had went out the window that day — the planning didn't. It's also how the truck and the Nova ended up in my garage.

LQ9 block .030" over, 4.000" crank, milled 823 heads, zero decked. Headed for the truck behind a T56.
