From the short block up.
Bottom-end balance, valvetrain spec, dyno targets, and the assembly log as it goes together on the stand.
I'm Travis Stoner. This is the home base for my family — Emily, our son Beaumont, and the projects I work on when I'm not at work: building an engine on the stand, restoring a '95 C1500, and bringing a '71 Nova back with an LS swap.
About
A short read for family checking in and folks doing their homework.
I grew up turning wrenches and I never stopped. Most weekends you'll find me in the garage with a project pulled apart, a service manual open on the bench, and a notebook full of torque specs. Right now there are three projects on the floor: an engine I'm building from the short block up, a 1995 Chevy C1500 that's getting a full restoration, and a 1971 Nova I'm bringing back with a modern LS swap.
At home, the priorities are simpler: be a good husband to Emily, raise our son Beaumont to be steady and curious, and keep this site as the one place everyone can find what they're looking for — birthday calendars, photo albums, and the family email setup.
By day, I run Stoner Capital LLC, a Texas-based holding company — stonercapitaltx.com. The mindset is the same in the office as it is in the shop: write down the steps, do the homework, finish what I start, and own the mistakes when I make them.
